Website use
The information on this website is provided for general information about guitar workshops, maintenance, repair and related services.
We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that all content will always be free from errors or omissions.
We may update, change or remove website content at any time.
Workshop bookings
Workshop places are limited and must be booked in advance.
For the Get to Know Your Guitar / Hands-On Guitar Maintenance Group Workshop, the maximum group size is 5 participants.
A booking is only confirmed once we have accepted your booking request and provided confirmation by email.
Payment
Payment can be made by card or bank transfer.
Payment details will be provided by email after a booking request has been made.
Your place may not be reserved until payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Workshop details
The workshop currently takes place in Bath on the first Saturday of each month at 5 pm, unless otherwise stated.
Exact location and arrival details will be sent by email after booking.
Participants must bring their own guitar, bass or acoustic guitar.
Participants may bring their own strings or buy strings on the day for £10, subject to availability.
Participant responsibility
Participants are responsible for bringing their own instrument and for following guidance carefully during the workshop.
The workshop is designed to teach safe, basic guitar maintenance skills. It is not a full professional repair appointment.
More complex repairs may require a separate professional service.
Instrument condition
We will take reasonable care when advising participants during the workshop. However, participants remain responsible for their own instruments.
If your guitar has serious damage, unusual construction, vintage value, or complex repair needs, we may recommend that it is assessed separately.
Private sessions
Private sessions may be available on request. Details, prices and availability will be agreed separately by email.
Cancellations and refunds
Please see the Cancellation Policy below.
If we need to cancel or rearrange
If a workshop has to be cancelled or rearranged by Edwin Barker Guitars, you will be offered either:
- a full refund, or
- the option to move your booking to another available date
